Importing Your Menu

Bulk import items from CSV files or extract from menu photos using AI

CSV Import

You can import multiple menu items at once using a CSV file.

  1. Go to Dashboard → Menu → Items → Import
  2. Download the example CSV template to see the format
  3. Fill in your menu items with the following columns:
    • name: Item name (required)
    • description: Item description
    • price: Item price (required)
    • category: Category name
    • tags: Comma-separated tags
  4. Save your file as CSV format
  5. Upload the file using the import tool
  6. Review and confirm the import

AI Image Import

For restaurants, you can upload photos of your physical menu and let AI extract the items automatically.

  1. Take clear photos of your menu pages
  2. Go to Dashboard → Menu → Items → Import
  3. Select the "Image" import type
  4. Upload one or more menu photos (JPEG, PNG, or WebP format, max 4MB per file)
  5. AI will extract items, prices, descriptions, and categories
  6. Review and edit the extracted items before confirming the import

💡 Pro Tip

After importing, review all items carefully. You may need to adjust prices, descriptions, or categories. The AI does a great job, but manual review ensures accuracy.
