General Questions

What is MenuIQ?

MenuIQ is an AI-powered menu platform that helps restaurants and stores create intelligent, interactive menus. Customers can browse your menu, ask questions to an AI assistant, and place orders directly.

Do I need to pay to use MenuIQ?

MenuIQ requires an active subscription to use. Check the pricing page for current subscription plans and features.

Can I use MenuIQ without Stripe?

Yes! You can use MenuIQ as a menu viewer without payments. Customers can browse your menu and ask questions, but won't be able to place paid orders until you connect Stripe.

Menu & Items

How many items can I add?

There's no limit to the number of menu items you can add. Add as many items and categories as you need.

Can I import my existing menu?

Yes! You can import items from a CSV file or use AI to extract items from photos of your physical menu. See the Importing Your Menu guide for details.

Can I edit items after creating them?

Yes, you can edit any menu item at any time. Go to Dashboard → Menu, click on the item, and select "Edit".

Payments & Orders

How do I get paid?

Payments are processed through Stripe and deposited directly to your connected bank account. Typically, funds arrive in 2-7 business days.

What payment methods do customers see?

Customers can pay with all major credit cards, debit cards, and digital wallets supported by Stripe (Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc.).

Can I cancel or refund orders?

You can update order status to "Cancelled" in your dashboard. For refunds, you'll need to process them through your Stripe dashboard.

AI Assistant

How does the AI assistant work?

The AI assistant uses information from your menu items (names, descriptions, tags, categories) to answer customer questions and make recommendations. The more detail you provide, the better it works.

Can I customize the AI's responses?

Yes! You can customize the AI's name, personality, response style, and add custom instructions. See the Customizing Your AI Assistant guide.

Technical Questions

Do I need technical knowledge to use MenuIQ?

No! MenuIQ is designed to be easy to use. You don't need any coding or technical skills to set up and manage your menu.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes! You can set up a custom domain (e.g., yourbusiness.com). See the Custom Domain Setup guide.

Is my data secure?

Yes, MenuIQ uses industry-standard security practices. All payments are processed securely through Stripe, and we never store payment card information.
