Creating a New Menu Item
- Go to Dashboard → Menu in the navigation
- Click the "Add Item" button
- Fill in the required information:
- Name: The item name (e.g., "Margherita Pizza")
- Description: Detailed description of the item
- Price: Base price for the item
- Category: Select which category this item belongs to
- Add optional details:
- Images: Upload one or more photos of the item
- Tags: Add tags like "vegetarian", "spicy", "gluten-free" (comma-separated)
- Sizes: Add different sizes (Small, Medium, Large) with price modifiers
- Options: Add customization options (e.g., "Extra Cheese", "No Onions")
- Click "Create Item" to save
Item Details Explained
Name & Description
Be descriptive! The more detail you provide, the better your AI assistant can help customers find what they want. Include ingredients, preparation methods, and any special notes.
Images
You can upload multiple images per item. Use high-quality photos that show the item clearly. Good images significantly increase customer engagement.
Tags
Tags help customers filter and find items. Common tags include: vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, spicy, popular, new, etc. Separate multiple tags with commas.
Sizes & Options
Add sizes (Small, Medium, Large) with different prices, or add options like "Extra Cheese" or "No Onions" that customers can select when ordering.
